I know that I have been slacking in the craft post department but I am in the middle of a major creative space organization project, to put it elegantly. Actually Shannon describes it as looking like Jo-Ann Fabrics came into the room and puked. He has a way with words. ;-) In the meantime, here's another post about my ever so interesting life starting with Sawyer's first visit to the dentist.
This boy was nervous as heck but so brave! He made certain upon his arrival that would not be getting any shots, double checking with every staff member he met. Poor guy already has a cavity, I didn't know four year olds could get cavities! I guess that means he did not inherit my good teeth. I am debating whether or not to bring the video camera when he gets his filling as I'm betting that Sawyer plus laughing gas will equal hilarious! I think I just convinced myself.
O'er the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go...
I wish I could bottle some of this energy. Pure vitality. As soon as he began hopping around he yells, "this is waaaayyyy better than soccer!" Great, saves me eighty bucks on soccer lessons!
Avery has to get in on the action too but stays safely within Grandma's reach.
My mom lives on about six acres in the middle of nowhere. I loathed living there as a teen but love visiting now. We go every Monday to catch up, eat and unwind and focus on the two little people that matter most to me. And let Grandma focus on them too while I nap!
The best thing about being in the country is the pace. There's no rush, no urgency to get things done and I've been trying to concentrate more on the small things, the minute details, life's little miracles. I'm a big picture girl, always planning and never quite in the moment. Never quite here.
I'm glad that I was present enough to catch this wicked sky.
Hope everyone has a great week!
I love that you live in the country--how fabulous that must be! Such cute kids too--happy to follow
